Mum of two Carla Smith founded Create in 2017 as a holiday club and has nurtured it ever since, adjusting and moving as the needs change. (Create art boxes were born during the first covid 19 lockdown to offer an escape to children that were unable to attend classes, it became a beautiful community with many friends painting along live together online from various parts of the country)
Carla is an experienced art teacher and knows the importance art plays in a child’s development and is aware that primary aged children simply do not have enough opportunity to explore and experiment through art at school
…And so Create was born.
Create is a safe space for children to relax, to have fun, explore and experiment, in a place where what they make can never be wrong.
Create encourages children to see the world around them, to think differently and to celebrate the little wins.
